Here is how I grade my cards -

Near Mint:

Can be anywhere from flawless to having some 'whiting' on the corners. I try to choose cards with minimal to no whiting on the back of the card to send out. Unfortunately, not all cards are flawless, but you can expect a card that would achieve at least a 7 rating if it were sent to PSA.

Lightly Played:

These cards will have visible wear around the corners and edges.

Moderately Played:

Expect heavy wear around the edges. I will normally upload a photo of the back of the card if I choose this option.
