This product is known as a Hag Stone or Wishing Stone. Native American used and they would run their finger along the lines of the stone to make a wish. It was found in NW Minnesota, United States and is a piece of folklore that represents early tribes or Native American culture. The provenance of this artifact is not available, but it holds significance as a collectible piece that reflects the heritage and craftsmanship of the indigenous people of the US. It could also be a fossilized egg and was found here on our farm on the shores of the Red River Valley of Northwest Minnesota, called the Old Lake Agassiz. Pretty cool artifact, to say the least.
