This CD & DVD special edition features the latest AI stereo remastering and newly discovered archival footage of a special performance held at the historic French abbey of Loyellemont on June 15th during Pink Floyd's 1971 European tour following the release of their iconic album, "Atom Heart Mother," which debuted at No. 1 on the UK album chart and became a major hit worldwide. The CD includes two tracks, "Hymne le Soleil" and "Cimbaline," originally broadcast on the French national television station ORTF's "Cinq Grand Sur La Deux" program, converted from the original mono audio. The second half of the CD features the performance in Lyon, France, on June 12th, recorded from the original radio broadcast. While the original was a vintage mono recording with noise and dropouts, this rare live performance was recorded on a soundboard and has been restored with the latest remastering. Also noteworthy is "Atom Heart Mother," featuring an incomplete recording with brass and chorus sections. The DVD also includes two tracks from the "Royalmont Abbey" performance, restored using the latest AI stereo remastering technology. It also includes newly discovered, unedited outtakes and a multi-angle edited version. This compilation includes rare footage, including unedited parts and alternate angles not used in the broadcast, allowing viewers to compare the differences between each. Bonus footage includes the complete "Hamburg Moment" broadcast on German TV from the same period. This tour documentary includes interviews and excerpts of "Atom Heart Mother" and "Mystic" from the Hamburg performances on February 25th and 26th, 1971, and is a longer version than the official TV broadcast. The audio and video included here capture the band's legendary live performance just before their first performance in Japan, making this a must-have for collectors. CD
