We know the doll are souvenir from NIKKO. The typical sightseeing places in NIKKO are drawn on the body of the doll.
Kokeshi is a simple wooden doll consisting of a cylindrical body and a round head inserted into the body
and is simple Japanese folk toy. 
This type of Kokeshis are use to be popular as souvenir at sightseeing spot everywhere in Japan
but now we can seldom see them even in our prefecture where is countryside and has the oldest hot spring DOUGO in Japan.
