The drive requires the USB cable to be taped down to the table for usage. See picture for details.

The port seems like need replacement, it's on it's way out. If you are capable at soldering, this might be the project for you.

When it does connect, the drive works fine.

Was able to wipe it with three passes of DoD 5220.22-M standard.

Stored in a climate controlled, non smoking and pet free house.
