The radio receiver "Kyiv-4" from the set "Start 7229" from the beginning of 1980 was produced by the Kiev company "Electronmash". A set of parts and assemblies allows you to assemble a direct amplification receiver "Kyiv-4" on 8 transistors and 3 diodes, operating in the LW and MW bands. The sensitivity of the assembled and tuned receiver is 20 mV/m. Rated output power 60 mW. Power supply with a voltage of 9 volts from 6 A-332 elements. The price of the DIY set was 14 rubles.
