This is a fantastic vintage dress from the mid-1960s by Guy Laroche. The tag identifies it as part of his Paris "Boutique" ready-to-wear line.

The co-labeling with "Duchess Sportswear" and "Exclusively for Royal, New York" indicates this was a high-end, licensed piece produced for the American luxury market during that period.

The design is a classic example of the 1960s "flapper revival" or Mod style. It features a chic mock neck, three-quarter length sleeves, and a fitted bodice. The silhouette is defined by its low-slung drop waist, which releases into a sharp, permanently pleated skirt.

It is crafted from a high-quality black wool fleece knit. The long, center-back metal Talon zipper is a period-correct detail that helps confirm its 1960s manufacturing.
