The Proximie capture unit acts as a crucial link between the physical operating room and the digital platform. Its main functions include:

Capturing multiple video feeds: The unit can receive up to four 3G-SDI, high-definition video inputs simultaneously from various sources in the OR. These can include surgical cameras, endoscopes, laparoscopes, and other imaging or medical devices.

Integrating with the Proximie platform: The captured video streams are sent to Proximie's cloud-based platform for processing. This turns the surgical procedure into a secure and structured video record.

Enabling remote telepresence: By streaming the video with low latency, the capture unit allows remote experts, surgeons, and trainees to "scrub in" virtually. They can observe, guide, and collaborate with the surgical team in real-time, regardless of their location.

Supporting training and education: The video captures can be saved to a secure, cloud-based library, allowing for asynchronous review, case study, and training. Surgeons can use the recordings for peer learning and to provide feedback to trainees.

Maintaining security and privacy: Proximie's system is designed for a medical environment, featuring built-in computer vision that can automatically de-identify patient information and blur sensitive data at the source. Explicit patient consent is also required for recording.

ISSUES AND RETURNS:

If you have any issue with your product, please reach out to us first as we always want to work something out. Generally, we do not just take returns however, obviously if we say something works and it doesn't, we got you. Working directly with us on issues often results in a quick return, partial money back or exchange for another product in our store. If item is as it was described and you still want to return, you may or may not be charged a restock fee of 20%.
