The GeneAmp PCR System 9700 consists of a base module and an interchangeable sample block module. Interchangeable sample blocks let you quickly change throughput and well volumes to match your applications. These sample block modules deliver built-in flexibility for various PCR and cycle sequencing applications. The latest addition is the 96-Well module, which is offered to increase thermal cycling capacity while maintaining a 96-well, 0.2 mL format. Fully loaded, the instrument accommodates up to 192 samples per run. The system can also be used with a single 96-well plate for smaller runs. An intuitive graphical user interface with comprehensive programming features and real-time display makes your protocol setup fast and easy, and precision-engineered sample blocks and Applied Biosystems MicroAmp disposables ensure optimal thermal response and reproducibility.

This 96-Well GeneAmp PCR System 9700 compares to Aluminum Sample Block Module. Aluminum sample blocks designed for routine PCR and cycle sequencing. The aluminum block has been designed for routine use of PCR reactions and cycle sequencing in a conventional 8 X 12 well format. This allows the 96-well 9700 system to be used in 9600 emulation mode and standard mode.

96-Well Options:
A complete system includes one base module and one sample block module. The 96-well system is manufactured with an easy-to-use graphical user interface and programming software for application protocols. System 9700 Networking Software allows a central PC to control up to 31 instruments, further automating the PCR and cycle sequencing processes.

Sample block modules:
The sample block module consists of a heated lid and sample well block with 96 sample wells (0.2 mL each).

Plate Ejection System:
The 96-Well sample block module features a unique plate ejection system. When cycling is complete and the heated lid is open, this system allows for easy access and removal of each 96-well plate from the sample block.

Uniformity:
The 96-well sample blocks are specified at ±0.5°C, measured 30 seconds after clock start at 95°C. Together, the two well blocks have a combined uniformity of ±0.75°C, measured 30 seconds after clock start at 95°C.
