[Product condition]
Condition: This is a Yamaha Compass series CPX-7 electric acoustic guitar, circa 2000. It uses an active preamp powered by a 006P battery to drive an in-bridge piezo pickup, outputting through an endpin jack. The stiff body, typical of acoustic-electric guitars, prevents feedback, while the jumbo shape provides a well-balanced, natural sound that's characteristic of Yamaha tuning. The adjustable saddles allow for easy string height adjustment. With the strings strung, the neck is nearly straight to a slight curvature. While difficult to see in photos, there is some cloudiness in the clear finish. The pickup sometimes produces hum, and I once replaced the piezo element with an original part, but there was no change. If noise occurs, gently rock the bridge from above to the left and right to stop it (lol). While there are some minor scratches, the overall condition is good considering its age. However, please note that this guitar has been used and not collected. Please review the images to confirm the condition before making your purchase.
