These are from trees I planted in my back yard. I picked them, washed them, dried them, washed them again, and dried them one last time. I didn't use any chemicals on these trees. Just sun, dirt and water.

• The fruit of the Areca palm, commonly called betel or areca nut, is mainly used for chewing with betel leaf in almost all Oceanic and south/southeast Asian countries. 
• It is a mild stimulant which can cause a mild hot sensation.
• Nut is used both in fresh and dried forms. 
• In China and India Areca nut is used in the preparation of Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicines.

Medicinal and Chemical Values:

The major alkaloids found in the Areca nut, Arecolidina, Arecoline, Arecaidine, Guacine, and Guyacoline, with Arecoline being the most prevalent.

You can also just plant them. They grow pretty fast. I always have to get rid of the babies because so many of them grow.
