Model 1: 64 LED (88 Components) Advertising Display Soldering Practice Kit
This kit features a display unit composed of 64 0805 surface-mount LEDs. Using row-column scanning, it can display any 64-pixel character, such as numbers. The kit includes a pre-programmed microcontroller. Upon power-up, it displays: vertical row-by-row illumination → full-screen illumination with 2 flashes → horizontal row-by-row illumination → sequential countdown display of characters 9-0 for advertising. This sequence repeats. To modify the display content, omit soldering the included microcontroller. Instead, inject control signals via interface JP1 to display custom content. (Refer to our store's 8x8 dot matrix documentation for compatibility; the microcontroller interface is identical. This interface requires separate procurement and is not included in the kit.) The circuit includes 64 SMD LEDs, 8 row driver transistors, 8 current-limiting resistors, 2 serial expansion chips, 1 microcontroller chip, 1 SMD electrolytic capacitor, and 4 SMD high-frequency capacitors—totaling 88 components and 202 solder joints.

This kit features a display unit composed of 256 0805 surface-mount LEDs. Using row-column scanning, it can display any 256-pixel character, such as Chinese characters. The kit includes a pre-programmed microcontroller. The startup sequence is: row-by-row illumination → full-screen illumination with 2 flashes → sequential display of the character advertisement “You're the best” → heart symbol flashing 3 times. This sequence repeats. To modify the display content, omit soldering the included microcontroller. Instead, inject control signals via interface JP1 to display custom content. (Refer to our store's 16x16 dual-color dot matrix documentation for compatibility—the microcontroller interface is identical. This interface requires separate procurement; it is not included in the kit.) The circuit includes 256 surface-mount LEDs, 16 row driver transistors, 16 current-limiting resistors, 4 serial expansion chips, 1 microcontroller chip, 1 surface-mount electrolytic capacitor, and 6 surface-mount high-frequency capacitors. Total: 300 components, 678 solder joints.
Circuit Principle:
The control core is microcontroller U1. It continuously transmits row scan data to U2 and display data to U3 via pre-programmed code, thereby controlling the display to show patterns in a regular sequence.
Installation Notes:
All components must be mounted flush with the PCB surface. Pay attention to the polarity orientation of integrated circuits, LEDs, transistors, and electrolytic capacitors. The circuit board provides test points J1-J5 for extended applications such as waveform measurement and voltage testing. Operating voltage: 4-5V. As the kit primarily consists of LEDs and features a relatively simple circuit, assembly is typically straightforward. The microcontroller program is pre-programmed; results appear immediately after soldering. Source code is not provided.
