Robert Roskell of Liverpool England circa Hand Made Rack Lever Fusee circa 1798-1830, 

All polished 18 size (54mm in diameter not counting the sleeve, stem, crown or bow) 10 Karat Yellow Gold Filled case,  

Powered by High Grade of its day, English hand made Rack Lever Fusee, 10 Jewel, Gold bi-metallic balance wheel, Suspended balance cock, Diamond End Stone movement, and, a seldom ever seen calendar complication at the the 6:00 position, 

The Rack Lever movement was patented in 1792 by the creator Peter Litherland, 

This rare fusee movement winds "backwards" or  counter clockwise from the rear, and sets by removing the bezel & crystal key sets from the center canon pinion with the provided #5 pocket watch key, 

The original dial is a beautiful excellent condition white porcelain dial with black enameled roman Numeral hour markers, Robert Roskell, Liverpool, the Calendar feature at the 6:00 position, and outer minute track, 

This highly collectible and rare timepiece has been Serviced & is running fine!!

Before listing this item we did eBay and Internet searches to find comparable Robert Roskell hand made high grade early timepieces. We found some in extremely poor non-running or poor cosmetic condition priced under $1,000. However, the serviced, excellent condition, running well and fully warranted examples (like ours) were priced up to $4,500 with an average of $2,753. AND,... NONE of those had the functioning calendar complication at 6:00 movement & dial like ours!!!
