This is a rare antique, turn of last century mechanical ball clock / paperweight in good operating condition. The clocks diameter is 65mm (2.6”). The hand painted face is signed by the artist and is in excellent condition. The rounded glass facing is clear with few if any scratches. It celebrates early lighter than air flight, depicting a blimp and a hot air balloon in which a man in a top hat is waving an American flag (the flag waves when the clock is wound).

The ball clock was manufactured by DOXA, an independent Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1889 by Georges Ducommun and still active today.
