Gibson ES-165 HERB ELLIS Used Electric Guitar

We have a new signature model based on the ES-175, the guitar played by Herb Ellis himself. It features a refined flamed maple body, a single pickup on the front, a single volume control, and a single tone control. The fingerboard features double parallelogram inlays, just like the ES-175, a zigzag tailpiece, and gold hardware, creating a simple yet sophisticated instrument with a sophisticated feel. The body is made of maple, the neck is made of mahogany, the fingerboard is made of rosewood, and the pickups are 490R. The volume knob has a slight crack, but it functions without problems. The plated parts show wear and peeling consistent with age, but are in relatively good condition for their age. The top of the body and the neck side of the bridge show signs of having been set there for a long time, resulting in brown discoloration. The bridge is now set in the correct position. There is significant paint damage on the bottom, possibly caused by a stand. There is a 5cm crack repair mark on the back of the neck, from the nut to the 2nd fret, on the 6th string side. The crack is only visible on one side, so it is not broken. It has been properly repaired and there are no issues with its strength. Although there are scratches, dents, and neck repairs appropriate for its age, the instrument is set up for excellent playability.
The neck is almost straight and in good condition, and the truss rod functions properly. Both the nut and frets are original, with about 90% of the frets remaining. The nut width is 42.5mm, and the neck is a C-shape that is neither too thick nor too thin.
The sound is warm, thick, clear, and well-articulated, making it an excellent instrument for playing jazz and blues. Aging has added a mellow nuance, giving it a more refined tone.
Due to the repair marks on the neck, we are selling this instrument at a lower price than the market price! If you've been looking for one, please consider this opportunity.
