Cuba Folk Art Carved Well Puerto Boniato Primitive Wood Cuban Carving Doll Size

This is a primitive folk art carved well. It is marked, " Recuerdo De Puerto Boniato" on one side of the well, and "Aluta 2 7375 Pies" on the other side. This well-crafted item appears to be constructed from a piece of large diameter bamboo and is either carved with a texture or has another medium applied to the surface for texture. The color is a dark brown. There is a little bucket which hangs from a metal wire. The bucket appears to be bamboo also. The well measures 9" tall x 5 1/2" x 6". I do not speak the language but tried to translate on the internet and I think the phrases mean, " remembrance of Puerto Boniato " and the other phrase looks like it may refer to a height of 7375 feet or is an award ...like 2nd place. I am not sure. It looks lovingly crafted for a special person. It came from the estate of a very old woman. It is in remarkably good condition without chips or cracks and is clean. Metal wire looks old.
