The renowned glass company, Northwood, has been known to produce some of the nicest and most collectible glass in history. Known to create assorted types and styles, carnival glass stands out as most likely their most popular. The company produced numerous patterns in many assorted colors and shapes.
Perhaps one of the more desirable yet scarce Northwood patterns to find today is known as poinsettia and lattice. This design was produced in footed 8-9 inch bowls in assorted base glass colors. One of the more difficult colors to find is the amethyst especially with the iridescent hues of this fine example. A wonderful combination of magenta, blue and gold comprise the colorful blend with a very sharp mold adding to the desirability. As stated, the base color of the glass is a rich amethyst as seen when this piece is held to a bright light. I have included a number of pictures in assorted artificial and natural light in order for viewers to get a full picture of the awesome presentation of this bowl. The item measures 8 3/4” across and stands 2 3/4” high to the top of the ruffled rim. I have cleaned and inspected this item thoroughly and can find no damage or repairs. The mold is crisp, the colors evenly distributed across the front side and the rim points all appear intact. A prime chance to add a top shelf Northwood carnival bowl bowl to your collection. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
Thank you.
