HUCKLEBERRY HOUND/QUICK DRAW McGRAW  METAL LUNCHBOX AND METAL/GLASS THEMOS from Aladdin Industries 1961.  This Key and very rare R-7 lunchkit features scenes and characters from the classic Hanna-Barbera TV cartoon of the same name.  Another masterpiece from AL art director Elmer Lehnhardt (who invented the embossed panel featured on this box) and the first box to use this new “deep-relief 3-D embossing”.  This box also came in a flat panel version – and is the style in this listing.  This classic Americana 60’s TV cartoon collectible small portraits of the entire crazy cast on the top handle panel – with special scenes from the cartoon in a film strip around the rim.  Huckleberry and friends are out driving to a “pic-a-nic” on the front panel – with Quick Draw and friends out for a stagecoach ride on the back.  Decorating the thermos is a wonderful tug-of-war scene between the two groups decorate the thermos.  All you favorites – even Boo-Boo with his pic-a-nic basket!  An exceptional example of one of our all-time favorite TV cartoon kits!

Condition: Box and thermos are complete and correct (including original wire thermos holder).  Lithographed box main  panels on front and back are clean and glossy throughout with a few light rubbings.  Rim panels are very clean and glossy.  Light wear on the black rims on front - and bit heavier on back.  No corner dents or dimples.  Metal hardware is nice and shiny.  Inside of box is clean overall with light rubbings in thermos area - with no previous owner markings.  Box in overall Excellent Plus C-8.5 condition.  Thermos lithos are clean and glossy throughout - no dents or dimples - nice shiny bottom and no rattles when shaken - in overall Near Mint C-9 condition. 

This rare early kit is in exceptional investment-grade condition.
