"Don't forget your Hugendubel umbrella!" were the saying of many advertising posters in the city of Stuttgart from the 1940s. Rarely anyone left umbrella of this quality unattended as these were expensive umbrellas ranging about $100 or more during that time. 

Modell Hugendubel was established in 1833 by the royal court umbrella supplier of the last king of Württemberg. Hugendubel technically invented the cane umbrella, which at that time it was first presented by the King of Württemberg in 1909. In the city of Stuttgart, the brand "Hugendubel" has long been synonymous with umbrella.

In 1999, the high-quality umbrellas were sold in Hirschstraße. Unfortunately the Hugendubel umbrellas even though of high quality it had the competition from China and the company closed.
