K. Yairi DY-45 Jacaranda / 1978 Used Acoustic Guitar
Yairi guitars are crafted in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture. Large-scale mechanization is avoided, and a small team of around 30 artisans crafts approximately 20 guitars per day. This purely domestic brand is highly acclaimed for its precision woodworking and the reliability that only a Japanese-made guitar can provide. This instrument is the pinnacle of Yairi guitars, the "DY-45 Jacaranda," crafted with exceptional woodworking techniques. This exquisite pre-owned 1978 model features a beautiful spruce top with prominent grain, wild and beautifully grained Jacaranda sides and back, a mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Grover 102G tuning machines, vertical headstock logo, abalone hexagon fingerboard inlay, black pickguard, abalone rosette and trim, arrow-patterned back strip, rosewood bridge plate, and scalloped X bracing. This instrument is crafted with the signature Yairi quality. The dreadnought tone is punchy and firm. The powerful volume and well-defined sustain create a beautiful, expansive sound. This instrument is in excellent condition, showing no signs of its 45-year history. There is only slight fading on the top, and there are almost no dents or small scratches. There is some repair to the center seam above the sound hole, but this is also minor and minimal. It was recently overhauled at the current Yairi factory, and the neck and other areas are in excellent condition. The Yairi DY-45 guitar has a secret long-standing popularity and loyal following. A highly collectible instrument, not to be missed. Includes original hard case.
