The GE Grate Assembly is an OEM part compatible with GE ranges. It provides the cooking surface for stovetop elements and grills.
Symptoms of a bad grate assembly include:
- Hot or cold spots are felt across the surface when heating
- Foods sticking or burning more easily during cooking
- Grate bars no longer laying flush and evenly across the stovetop
- Rusting, scaling, cracks, or other signs of wear in the metal
