A very scarce work written by English editor, translator and author on agriculture, John Mills.

A new and complete system of practical husbandry, containing the author's observations and own experiences of farming and running a country gentleman's estate. Mills was a warm advocate of small farming, using this work to highlight various ways to improve this practice.

Illustrated with eight folding plates and a frontispiece.

Collated, complete.


CONDITION

Bound in full calf. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to leather, heavier to joints, causing front joint to crack. A little loss to the leather at the extremities. Hinges are strained, but holding generally firm. A few spots and the odd ink mark to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a few spots, mainly to the first few pages.
