Pair 2 Teissedre Framed Copper Bronze Turquoise Native Art Fetishes CTD 507, 508.
Beautifully double matted and framed in a bronze metal frame. The fetish in each measures 4 In tall by 1 In wide. The outside dimensions are approximately 6.25 In by 4.25 In.
Cleo Teissedre produced this art in Arizona. The pieces are labeled on their backs: CTD 507 and CTD 508. I do not know what those initials mean, but this is probably an internal identification system at Teissedre’s company.
This pair of framed fetishes are 3 dimensional and beautifully enameled in copper and turquoise tones. There used to be hanging hardware attached.
According to my research, the buffalo under the horned figure means “abundance” or “sacred life.” The bear foot under the female appearing figure means
“Good omen.” It’s all good.
