The 2 rupees banknotes were first introduced by the Reserve Bank of India during the era of the British Empire in 1943. These notes were signed by the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
The first 2 rupee notes were issued with a side portrait of King George VI and the signature of Sir James Braid Taylor
This bank note was passed down to me from my grandfather's collection. It's in pretty good condition aside from a few folds at the corners. I will ship in hard case with bubble wrap as protection.
