Item Information:

This listing is for one antique souvenir cake plate.  This plate has very early images of three notable buildings in Hastings, Nebraska:

High School

County Court House (Adams County)

State Hospital

The State Hospital of Hastings was a mental institution for many years under various names.

This appears to be the first example of any souvenir china or porcelain featuring the State Hospital of Hastings having ever come up for sale.    

I have additional souvenir pieces featuring other similar institutions that will be listed.  These are very special pieces and I do not list them too frequently. 

This piece is backstamped: Made in Germany

This is also unusual in that it is a souvenir handled cake plate.  This plate measures 10 1/2'' wide. 

This is a previously owned plate in good overall condition.  No chips, cracks, crazing or staining.   This plate was well used by the original owner - you can see scuffing marks in different areas (look closely at the State Hospital image for example) and perhaps fifty perfect of the gold is missing.  There is some light wear/loss on the images, with the overwhelming majority intact. If purchasing several items, I offer combined shipping and charge only actual shipping costs with no handling fee.  A buyer may wait for an adjusted invoice (typically sent within 4-24 hours) or any excess shipping refund will be immediately returned through PayPal after packaging.   You may also note there is no additional change in shipping if purchasing several multiples (typically dishware items like plates, bowls, etc.).  This is due to Dimensional Weight Packaging.  Depending upon delivery location, box size and weight, there may be no additional shipping charge - up to a point.
