DESCRIPTION
A stirrup bottle originates from the Moche civilization of northern coastal Peru, dating to circa 100–800 CE. The white surface is burnished to achieve a polished finish and likely had a painted decoration at one time, which has now vanished. The white surface has largely degraded from burial.
