The Wichita Aeros of the American Association ended the 1984 season
with a record of 78 wins and 77 losses, finishing fifth in the AA.
The
Aeros topped the league with 786 runs, spearheaded by 138 home runs.
Wichita yielded 715 runs. Alan Knicely walloped 33 home runs for the
team, while Paul Householder and Wade Rowdon swatted 15 or more, too.
Alan Knicely drove in 126 runs and topped all qualifying hitters on the
roster with a .333 average. Tom Browning led the squad with 12 wins, and
Bill Landrum recorded a 3.46 ERA, tops among regular hurlers.
