Need to figure out why a light isn't on? Use PS100 to put 12v to the bulb holder and check it. Need to see if a switch is working? Point PS100 at the back of it, and flip the switch. Need to figure out why a trailer light isn't working? Autel PS100 has a wicked long cable extension to reach way back to the trailer. Need to troubleshoot a wiring loom under the car? Not only will PS100 do the job, but it has a decent LED light.
Autel circuit tester PS100 is an extremely easy to use and highly reliable automotive circuit test kit for it is able to perform all kinds of electrical tests and it is equipped with user-friendly features such as test light, test tone, built-in flashlight, circuit breaker protection to make it handy and secure to use for mechanics. PowerScan automative circuit tester Autel PS100 is absolutely a must-have tool for every technician or hobbyist looking for a fast and accurate solution to electrical system diagnostics. Below are the main features of PS100:
The automotive circuit tester Autel PS100 can work on all 6volt to 30-volt vehicle electrical systems.
After a simple hook-up of the test probe tool to the vehicle's battery, you can do following tests, test the polarity, read current, voltage and resistance, and find faulty wires or fuses in the vehicles without effort:
Not only does the Autel vehicle circuit diagnostic tester PS100 has the power to complete every type of circuit test for vehicles, but it can also provide users with the most rapid and accurate testing outcomes. After numerous testing and verifications, we make sure that Autel PS100 can provide ready-to-read data without any delay. The LCD display will read the DC voltage with a resolution of 0.1 volts, even when you test low voltage, the numeral it reads can still be accurate.
What’s more, it has a built-in scope function, and you can use Autel circuit tester PS100 to probe sensors and get a visual scope pattern on the probe. With the advanced processor, waveforms like cam sensors, crank sensors, fual injectors can be captured easily.

PS100 has a headlight, which helps the technicians and mechanics to illuminate dark environments for better diagnoses. With this feature, there is no need for you to have another illuminating device when you want to diagnose circuits in corner areas or dim environments. Besides, Autel circuit tester PS100 also has a tone feature to make different sounds for mechanics to distinguish testing results in dark areas.
The built-in circuit breaker is a nice feature to protect users, the test tool as well as the vehicle components, ensures their safety. Simply connect the extra ground lead to the tool and press the power switch forward and it will trip the circuit breaker. This will prevent power from going to the tip but still allow you to use the tool as a multimeter. When you are away from vehicle components, simple press the reset button and you are ready to power up again.

DC VoltageWhile the circuit testing tool in this mode, contact the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the DC voltage with a resolution of 0.1 volt. |
AC VoltageWhile the circuit tester tool in this mode, contact the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the Max. voltage, the Min. voltage, frequency and duty cycle. |
ResistanceWhile the circuit test probe in this mode, contact the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the resistance between the tip and auxiliary ground lead. |
Tone On/OffWhile the tester is in this mode, just do a quick press of the mode button to toggle the tone on or off. While quickly pressing (a quick press and release) the mode button, if a short high beep is heard, this means the audio tone is turned on. If a short low beep is heard, the audio tone is turned off. |
Question: How to Power the PS100?
Answer: The circuit test tool is powered via the vehicle battery. Connect the RED battery clamp to the POSITIVE terminal of the vehicles battery, and the BLACK clamp to the NEGATIVE terminal. When the tool is first connected to a battery (power source), it will sound a beep and the Head Lights will be on to illuminate the test area of the probe tip.
Question: Are the PowerScan Probe Tester computer and air bag safe?
Answer: The tool LED and LCD pull no more than 1 milliamp of current, therefore when using it as a test light or multimeter it is computer and air bag safe. When you press the switch forward, you are conducting full battery current to the tip of the probe. The built-in circuit breaker will prevent power from going to the tip but still allow you to use the tool as a multimeter. When you are away from computer components, simple press the reset button and you are ready to power up again.
Question: Why do I have no power at the tip when I am pressing the power switch forward but the red LED is on?
Answer: The power switch goes through a lot. It is one of the few things that go wrong with the tool. The switch is a consumable that needs to be replaced on occasion. We have made it really simple to not only change it but also buy a new switch. The switch can be snapped out and replaced in seconds.
