This is the first of my Scotia animal paintings series, celebrating the beauty of Scottish wildlife and folk art tradition.

Inspired by early medieval illumination and Pictish art this piece celebrates the winter sky's around us as the geese fly in offering as a hopeful ode or honk against what can seem a bleak time of year.
This painting is acrylic based, highlighted by Gold and Silver leaf paint that really captures the light. The painting is also on A5 sustainabley recycled cotton paper wich beautifuly frames the subject.
