The hardwood two-up game features authentic Australian pennies, complete with a rich history and clear instructions for gameplay.

AUSSIE TWO-UP
Two-Up is a unique aspect of Australian culture, standing proudly alongside iconic figures such as Henry Lawson, Banjo Patterson, and the infamous Ned Kelly.

Known as the oldest and fairest gambling game in Australia, it is affectionately referred to as "the greatest game of all" due to the lively atmosphere and excitement it generates.

The game first arrived in Australia with convicts in the late 18th century and has since become a cherished tradition during significant events like the gold rushes and both World Wars.

It plays a vital role in ANZAC Day celebrations, where veterans gather for a dawn service followed by a march, fostering a sense of community as they share stories over a cold beer afterward.

The familiar call of "come-in spinner" echoes from pubs and clubs across the country, highlighting the game's enduring popularity.

Each year, the tradition grows, offering thrills for both winners and those who simply relish the game's energy.

While law enforcement often turns a blind eye to the festivities on ANZAC Day, it's worth noting that Two-Up remains legal in Broken Hill year-round and can also be found in various local casinos.

HOW TO PLAY
Two-Up is an easy-to-learn game that accommodates any number of players, overseen by a designated individual known as ‘The Boxer’.

The main goal is to achieve three consecutive spins of heads.

Players must keep their initial bets in the ring until they either lose by spinning a pair of tails or win by landing three sets of heads in a row.

A successful spin results in the initial bet being multiplied by eight, turning a $10 wager into $80.

Additionally, players can place side bets on the outcome of each toss, with the head betters typically managing the wagers.

The game can be played using two pennies, allowing for re-spins if odd results occur, or with three pennies to guarantee a result on each throw.

WHAT DO YOU GET?
Each game is carefully handmade, with the kip or board expertly shaped from recycled Australian hardwood and finished with lacquer to accentuate the beautiful wood grain.

The original pennies are polished by hand and lacquered to preserve their shiny patina. Additionally, an A4 document detailing the history, rules, and terms is included, all packaged in a sturdy, durable PVC pouch.

Australia minted Commonwealth style pennies from 1911 through to 1936 and Kangaroo pennies from 1938 through to 1964.
