I’ve just returned from a month-long adventure in France—and oh my goodness, I found the most fabulous vintage and antique tapestries!! Date range is early 1500's to 1970's ~ From grand woven scenes to charming small fragments, each one is unique and full of history. I’m so excited to finally share them with you! To see them all, just search my store for the word tapestry and they’ll appear!

Item specific : This tapestry beautifully captures the timeless rhythm of rural life, set in the heart of a vineyard at harvest time. Women and men bend low between rows of grapevines, collecting the ripe fruit of the season into large woven baskets. In the background, a rustic farmhouse nestles among cypress trees and rolling hills, evoking the warmth and tradition of southern France or northern Italy.
There’s a quiet poetry in the composition—the soft golden tones, the posture of labor, the gentle connection to the land. It feels like a memory preserved in thread, reminding us of simpler days marked by seasons, soil, and the shared joy of the harvest. The ornate acanthus leaf border gives the whole piece a noble finish, elevating this humble scene into something truly timeless.

Textiles have a quiet way of changing a space—bringing warmth, softness, and a sense of peace. Antique and vintage tapestries in particular hold a special charm. Whether hung on a wall, layered over furniture, or used in creative projects, they add texture, history, and a touch of beauty that’s hard to match.

Tapestries have been loved for centuries—not only for decoration, but also as a form of storytelling and comfort. In castles, cottages, and salons across Europe, these woven works were used to warm interiors, celebrate heritage, and bring art into daily life. Each piece carries a bit of that past, making it far more than just fabric—it’s a glimpse into another time.

Bringing antique textiles into our homes today adds something truly special. They offer a sense of calm, a connection to history, and a way to create rooms that feel layered, soulful, and full of meaning.
