This charming small French wall tapestry is a vintage piece made by Point de Halluin in Flanders, France, based on a 16th-century French tapestry design called L’amour Courtois (Courtly Love). It beautifully reinterprets a 1510 scene in classic medieval style—with a noble lady on horseback and a knight at her side—set against a rich millefleurs background. It dates from around the 1950-1960's? ~ This tapestry is jacquard weave cotton and wool

This tapestry was made by award-winning artisans honored as “Meilleurs Ouvriers de France,” and the label is still fully intact on the back. It’s backed in cotton and includes a built-in hanging sleeve along the top for easy display. The colors are warm, with deep navy, soft cream, golden wheat, faded red, and forest tones—so lovely in a French country interior. It's the antique of the future!

Ideal for a hallway, library, study, or entry wall—this adds story and atmosphere in the most perfect way.
