Monterey Cypress (Cupressus macrocarpa)

Another Domestic Exotic wood. Light weigh and stiff with silky smooth texture. Very similar to Spanish Cypress (SC) both visually and tone production.  Loud and clear ringing taptone.  Very pleasant aroma that will last for years. Absolutely top notch musical instruments wood.

Back : 15 7/8  x 6 x .120"
Side:   25 x 3 1/4 x  .120"

Very straight and tight grain with prominent medullary rays.  Please check all dimensions to make sure that it will satisfy your Uke size.

Note: Red stripe/ mark, if any, is a visible character common in Monterey Cypress,  no special attention needed when working with it , will not stain or come off during finish application or when heat is applied. 

Aged years 3 ++ ,  Air dried < 8% RH, 60 grits sanded . Salvage wood, Home Grown in America.
