This is an Antique Victorian-Style Spelter Table Lamp Base circa 1880-1910. It features an ornate floral design, is 22" tall with a single push-button socket, and newer lamp base and cord.

Crafted from Spelter (a zinc-based alloy), this 22-inch tall base weighs under 4 lbs due to its hollow construction, a testament to the era’s innovative craftsmanship. The lamp features intricate floral and scrollwork designs, showcasing the ornate detailing typical of late Victorian and early Edwardian decor. Its original bronze finish, with a worn dark overcoat, reveals a beautiful aged patina, complemented by authentic white corrosion spots that highlight its century-old history.

The base shows natural wear, including flaking of the overcoat, adding to its character. A new cord and lamp socket have been previously installed, ensuring safe functionality for modern use. Minor imperfections, such as small chips on the underside, are consistent with its age and do not affect stability. Sold as-is, shade not included. Attachment pieces may be needed for a shade, not included. Please see photos for details and condition, and feel free to message with any questions.
