Eugene Kinsey Towne was born in San Francisco, California on December 4, 1907. He studied with Eliot O’Hara, George Post, Tom Elliott and Jade Fon. he was known as a pioneer in “California Style” watercolour works. Towne exhibited widely in the San Francisco and Monterey Peninsula areas. In addition to his watercolour works, he created illustrations for both the Carnegie and Smithsonian Institutes.

Exhibited : The De Young Museum San Francisco, Oakland Art Museum, Monterey Peninsula Museum of Art,

Member of the prestigious Carmel Art Association.
