Vintage Original Dinky Toys, Standard Vanguard, No.40E, (1948-1950)

This item is in play worn and repainted condition.

The model I have here is the early 40E version, as it has the open rear wheel arches and is fawn in colour including the hubs. Upon closer inspection, one of the hubs seems to have a tiny piece missing (drivers side back) but I don't want to take the tyre off in case I can't get it back on again. There is a fair amount of paint loss but considering this model is 76 years old, it really isn't too bad.  Although I've referred to this as a "Standard" Vanguard (which is what it is) The word "Standard" is not shown on the base plate.
