Emelya and the Pike. Russian folk tale
Up for sale this RARE VINTAGE RUSSIAN FAIRY TALES PORCELAIN MAGICAL FISH PIKE FIGURINE. Hand made in late 196o's in Uzbekistan by Tashkent Porcelain Factory. Glossy finish with golden ornaments and red eyes. This figurine is a famous personage from an antient Russian fairy tale "EMELYA and the PIKE / At the Pike's Behest". The entire figurine is 6 1/4" long X 1 1/2" wide X 2 5/8" above the surface. Bottom is stamped with its original (Soviet) price and a logo of the Factory. Last photo shows the original logo and the years of its use. In excellent condition for its age, with no chips or scuff - with a very minimal signs of age. Great and rare collector's piece!
