Item Description:

ROY ROGERS CHOW WAGON DOME LUNCHBOX AND THERMOS from American Thermos 1955.  This early and extremely rare R-7 dome features Roy and Dale in their cafe on wheels – the covered wagon serving chow to the cowhands out on the prairie.  Another awesome example of classic western Americana by Ed Wexler - staff illustrator for AT who designed most of AT’s kits from 1953-1964 (including Boating, Roy Rogers and Hometown Airport).   Back panel shows Roy with a cup of Joe and Dale at the reins.  The thermos features Roy rearing up on his famous steed Trigger out runnin’ cattle.  Nicely done Ed!  A very nice example of this sought-after and rare kit!
