Here is a chance to own this rare and hard-to-find original vintage MCM 1970 Vanguard Studios Inc. sculpture depicting The Queen of Chess. It is designed as a wall-hanging sculpture and also as a freestanding piece.

It is brown in color with black, copper, gold, and red accents. 

Vanguard made many different sculptures based on several themes, and this one falls under their Chess Piece and/or Medieval Times series.

It is lightweight and made of Vanathane with a wood-type appearance.

Dimensions: 10" L x 3 ½" W x 13 ¼" H

There is a metal bracket already attached on the back for easy hanging. It also has its original gold plaque engraved with Ⓒ Vanguard Studios, Inc. 1969, a sticker indicating that it is fragile and made of Vanathane, and another sticker with the # 1015. The underside of the sculpture has a molded stamp: Vanguard Studios Ⓒ 1970.

This piece is in overall excellent condition with normal signs of aging and shelf wear and tear. There is a spot/scuff on the nose and a scuff mark on the left shoulder.
