Welcome to the sale of this decorative carving.

This wooden carving would have been hand made and depicts a mythical creature standing on its back legs with it front paws to its face. I'm unsure where the carving originates from but some people I have spoken to in the trade think it maybe Nepalese. The carving is beautifully done with the creature having rear character. Although carved on all sides there is a dovetail joint to the top suggesting this once would have been part of a larger piece of furniture or shrine. All in all a unique piece of decorative interior design.

The carving measures (in cm) 56 tall, 10 wide and 8 deep.   It weighs 1.8kg

 I offer free delivery on many of our items, however delivery shown is for the UK mainland only. There will be a surcharge for some addresses in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, the Scilly Isles and the Highlands and islands of Scotland. You are more than welcome to collect or I can deliver locally if needed.
