Small GILSON Open Frame Hit Miss Gas 

Engine Nice Original Condition - RUNS!!

Here is a nice little Gilson hit miss 

engine. Not sure of the horse power, 

but guessing in the 1 - 1 1/2 hp range.

I have included many photos to show the 

engines nice original patina condition with 

lots of original paint. As can be seen it has 

had a new fuel tank added at some time. I 

have owned the engine for many years, but 

never found time to fine tune it. It hits hard 

with strong compression, and I have a video 

to show this. My son and I had it running on 

starting fluid. The governor needs to be adjusted 

for slow running. I do not see any cracks breaks 

or repairs to the engine. This cute little engine 

with embossed hopper, stove legs, original paint, 

and off side operating mechanisms will make a nice 

addition to your collection.
