This is a very rare example of early 1900's handmade sailboat gear.  Its a sheet block made of solid lignum vitae with a galvanized sheave, thimble, wire rope and shackle.  The wire rope is expertly seized and fits tightly around block and thimble. Given the sheave is for 3/8 line this was likely used on a small sailboat for day sailing or racing.  The condition is very good for its age and shows no sign of decay.

I sell mostly USED and UNIQUE vintage or antique items.  Expect minor evidence of use orimperfections, wear, dings etc. from age. I take many photos of my items to assist with the description.  Please use the photos to help judge contentand condition.
