This vintage photograph features two women in Victorian attire, captured in a classic photoshoot setting. The woman on the right is standing and is dressed in a white, high-collared shirt with raised shoulders and an extra high back collar. She is adorned with a necklace featuring a round pendant or pocket and is wearing a long, cream-colored pleated skirt. Her right arm is gently resting on the shoulder of the seated woman on the left. The seated woman is in a white long-sleeve shirt with a high collar and a black tie-around thread accessory around her neck. She is wearing a ring on her left hand ring finger and has her right arm resting on the armrest of the white wire or wicker chair she is sitting in. She is also wearing a long black skirt. The backdrop is a typical cloudy photoshoot backdrop, with what appears to be a tree, possibly a Christmas tree, behind the standing woman.

The photograph is in good condition considering its age, with no significant wear. The frame is made out of a very firm cardboard-like material and measures 7.25” tall and just over 5” wide, while the photo itself is 4” tall and just under 3” wide. The photo is adhered to the frame, which is rectangle-shaped and taller than wide. Just below the photograph on the right-hand side, the frame is engraved with “Poisson Grand Rapids.” On the backside, there is some faint writing in pencil at the top, but it is too faint to decipher.

This piece is a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage photographs or Victorian memorabilia. The detailed attire and classic pose of the women, along with the unique engraving on the frame, make this photograph a charming and historical artifact. Reference: VP-40.
