Leica M3 Single-Stroke, 1960, matching box and card in mint condition.
This is a remarkable example of the M3 that has spent almost all its life in its original box.
It can’t truthfully be described as unused but has really very few and extremely minor signs of use. Leica seal intact.
The body condition is stunning. I can see one other similar boxed M3 example for sale at the moment, also on eBay but in Austria, which is much less clean than this example (but at the same price).
As you can see from the photos the body condition is mint for a camera manufactured in 1960. Please see photos for precise condition.
Mechanically it’s excellent with a rangefinder as bright as any I’ve seen and immaculately clean insides (shutter speeds not checked, slow seem inconsistent).
It’s the 4th M3 I’ve owned, having worked my way up, but sadly I now need to sell in order to generate some funds.
Inspection is welcome in Windsor, UK.
