A rare ‘Special Edition’ Chanel Chocolate Bar Quilted Jumbo 2.55 Bag from the Transition Collection in 2000. The silk fabric features a multicoloured tropic-floral Chinoiserie design with the brand name. This print appeared on the Runway in 1999 for the S/S 2000 collection by Karl Lagerfeld and on a custom gown worn by the singer Monica to the Met Gala in 1999.

I personally think this is one of the very best value Chanel bags available on the market today. Very few others are in circulation and they have far inferior placement of the floral motif across the front of the bag.

Double silver-toned metal chain link shoulder straps are intertwined with pink leather to match the trim, and the front flap closes smoothly with a silver mademoiselle turn lock. There are three exterior pockets with flap closures to the back exterior panel. The front flap opens to a partitioned black fabric interior (silk grosgrain and cotton) with zipper and patch pockets.

The bag is in very good, lightly used condition. A few minuscule marks to the exterior silk - only visible on very close inspection. Visible but very subtle rubbing and minor wear to one corner where the blue fabric is faded. Tarnishing and verdigris visible to the interior metal rivets through which the chain link straps pass. Interior is clean and unmarked. No odour.

Please inspect the photos carefully - they have been taken with the intention of reflecting the actual colours and condition as accurately as possible.
