it can instead of your original ballast, but you need CHANGE THE BLALLAST FEMALE PLUG in your end.(Take out the original old female plug, and exchange it to the one you buy)Youtube have the video can learn how to exchange the ballast plug.
The orginal ballast have common problem, a lot of projector can not light up the lamp. It is hard to find the original new one, I only get this one.
