Royal Purple HP 2-C is recommended for use in both pre-
mixed and oil injected gasoline 2-cycle engines in outboard motors,
motorcycles, jet skis, chain saws, etc. For cold weather oil injected
applications, Royal Purple recommends its Snow 2-C. The ashless formulation
and synthetic solvency of HP 2-C keeps spark plugs and exhaust ports clean for
maximum engine efficiency. HP 2-C is formulated with Royal Purple’s
proprietary, synthetic Synerlec additive technology that protects rings,
bearings and cylinder walls from metal-to-metal contact and guards against
scuffing, galling and welding, which can occur in severe conditions. This
engine cleanliness combined with the low coefficient of friction of Royal
Purple HP 2-C promotes increased horsepower and engine speed. Engines operate
with greater combustion efficiency and go longer between overhauls when
lubricated with HP 2-C. Motor oil is made from crude oil and is
used to lubricate, clean, and cool engines. Types of motor oil include
conventional, synthetic, diesel, bio-based, hybrid (blends of conventional and
synthetic), and recycled oils. Motor oil varies in weight and viscosity, as
well as additives that some manufacturers add to the oil during the refining
process. A numerical code system created by the Society of Automotive
Engineers (SAE) grades motor oils according to viscosity--the higher the
number between 0 and 60, the more viscous (thicker) the oil is. Most consumer
motor oils are graded by two numbers, with the first number indicating cold
weather (Winter or "W") performance.2-Stroke Engine OilThis oil is
specifically designed for 2-stroke (or 2-cycle) engines. 2-stroke engines are
typically "total-loss lubrication" engines, meaning that this oil will burn up
in the combustion chamber when the engine is on and will need to be replaced
regularly. Common uses of 2-stroke oil are some motorcycles, lawnmowers,
snowmobiles, marine outboard motors, and other small-engine devices.Full
Synthetic OilThis oil is a full synthetic oil, meaning crude oil is not used
in making it. Synthetic oil can be used in vehicle engines instead of motor
oils refined from crude oil, and often provides superior mechanical
performance over traditional motor oil, including increased gas mileage and
reduced engine wear at extreme temperatures. Its complex method of production
means it can often cost more than conventional motor oil.
