This is a modern top-of-the-line SCSI SD card reader storage device for your vintage SCSI-based musical sampler. It has 100% compatibility with the samplers noted.
ZuluSCSI comes a LONG WAY from the fixed single-ID SCSI Hard Drives of the past. ZuluSCSI works as up to 7 drives simultaneously, using large image files on the computer-formatted SD Card. Using image files makes it easily compatible with computers and management and conversion programs such as Chicken System's Translator software (Mac/Win).
Comes with your choice of case color, a 64GB Micro SD card all set up
with images corresponding to your sampler choice. At least one of the
images has a full set of instruments for you to test and use on your
sampler.
Our ZuluSCSI Pico Slim comes plug-and-play ready - just take it out of the box and plug it into the external SCSI port of your sampler. If your sampler requires a bootable OS, it is provided on the images we supply. Some samplers require you to supply external power; in those situations we supply a USB cable and wall charger for you to plug into the USB port.
Note: currently WiFi on modern computers does not access the SD card. You must shuttle the SD card to your computer or hooks this with a USB cable to access the SD card.
Another important note: You might have not seen your sampler/host on the options above. This is because the Pico Slim has a DB25 SCSI connector, and your 'unseen" sampler/host has something different (CEN50 or MDB50). So it would require a $20 adapter that is about twice as deep as the Pico Slim, causing it to stick out way further than you might like. One of the big appeals of the Pico Slim is that (with the listed hosts) it plugs "right in". The adapter would defeat that advantage. A solution would be to get the larger Internal ZuluSCSI to replace your hosts floppy/ZipDrive internally. It doesn't cost too much more. You can get this at SamplerZone.
