The South African Mint provided bags of coins to the major banks who then wrapped the rolls to go into circulation.  This coin came from just such a roll. Old bank wrapped rolls in South Africa is not really a thing and a dealer who sells lots of coins tells me he had never encountered an old roll like this.  I was able to get an old roll and this is a coin from that roll. I only ship first class with tracking and a mailer and postage cost me $4.50.  I've set the shipping charge on this for $3.30 for the first coin and $0.01 for each additional coin - this is below my actual cost for packaging and postage.

I also was able to get a 5 cent roll. Apparently someone got the rolls from a bank and saved them since it was a first year type and a new coin style. I was recently able to get rolls of the last year of the older type, so check my other listings to see them.

This coin is in great shape and you'll likely never see a similar listing on ebay - ever.  The coin will be sent sealed in a 1/2 section of a quality inert SAFLIP coin flip for safe long-term storage.
