Our BetterTrim2 system accepts the common 13/16-20 threaded trim dies from Lyman, Dillon, Whidden etc. (SIZING DIE NOT INCLUDED) to size and trim brass concurrently. Essentially a larger version of the same trimmer we have sold for years, and with a new style of power supply.

Bettertrim2 is larger than our original trimmer and won't clear most powder measures in station 3 like our Bettertrim1 does. It was designed to have more grunt for eating .223 down to .300blk, for which it works well. Our previous trimmer can do so also, but barely. Pictures show both trimmers for context, but only the larger trimmer is included in this kit. Video shows eating down .223 range brass to .300blk. Case mouth picture is a "finish cut" straight off the press with NO chamfer/debur. Further steps needed to convert to .300blk.

Our motor is fairly quiet- 60db or so. Louder than a desk fan, quieter than most bathroom fans. *Hearing protection not required*. It spools up and down almost instantly (10ms) for each cut without risk of unscrewing itself like larger motor trimmers. A small plastic shield contains brass shavings which can be swept away with a chip or paint brush every fifty or so cases. No noisy vacuum necessary

The drive motor is a DC permanent magnet design with ball bearing support. Shaft is heat treated tool steel, hub is 6061 treated to T6511. Cutter is titanium nitride coated tungsten carbide. Power supply is US standard 110 to 12vdc.

BetterTrim is made in USA.

Push the button or toggle switch and feed the brass. Best results are achieved with a smooth handle stroke and brief pause (1/2 second or so) to allow the cutter to finish and clean the cut. And yes, these will eat .223 down to .300blk:

Cut at OAL, not from shoulder means consistent trim length. Brass is held rigid by the sizing operation to resist chatter for a clean and concentric finish cut.
